This is part of a project I refer to as delicates. I started out photographing my personal belongings in my personal space in a way that displays them as individual characters. I'll post some of the earlier work later today sometime. Prior to these above images, I was singling out my subjects by moving everything out of the frame aside from the character I wanted to shoot. Conversely, this project has slowly evolved into documenting other peoples belongings and living spaces in the similar but less structured way. Rather than move things out of the frame, I try to find a flattering and interesting position to frame what is already existing in the space. This is my grandparents home in Potomac, Maryland. I never realized how similar our taste was until I visited this past spring and took these.
